Via Daddy...Elijah had the entire little diner in stitches laughing at his table manner antics. First, he refused a booster seat....then they shared a whopping plate of pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and toast! He is such a good eater!!
When the breakfast goers arrived home I had Josiah ready to go for his turn of Daddy time. They loaded up and took off for East Otto. Its a good 40minute drive to this pond so they enjoyed listening to a preaching CD on the way! Josiah called me twice to let me know where he was and how excited he was to use his brand new fishing pole! Mike took some great pictures on his cell phone that I am posting....wish I was there to see his first time fishing! He was a little discouraged that he didnt catch a fish but we told him we could go again!
When the fisher's returned I quickly bathed Josiah so he didnt smell like a fish and had redressed him and scrurried the children to the car to head for Aunt Jen's house. She was going to watch them while Mike and I joined other couples from the church to a fancy dinner in Niagara Falls in a restaurant called the Red Coach Inn.
We rode with some good friends and had a great time of fellowship. Of course arriving there you could see the mighty rapids leading to the falls....it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful Niagara Falls is! The restaurant was very European...nice decor. The food portions where small but taste was great. We had an amazing piece of cheesecake for dessert too! Yummy!
Wow...what a BUSY day with Daddy! It was so nice to have him home!

ReplyDeleteGreat post! Yes, indeed we had a great day! The country was wonderful and I enjoyed our date as well. Josiah was such a good boy that day and acted very mature. Elijah acted cute and enjoyed being with me. He handed tracts to everyone he saw! On the way to fishing Joe wanted to listen to preaching and Bro Hardman's message "Does the unknow excite you or scare you?" about serving God. We listened to a 1/3 of it and we shut if off when we were almost there. I too wished we had caught some fishes, but next time perhaps! When we left and started driving I put back on the preaching. Almost immediately Bro Hardman was preaching on the verse "Follow ME and I will make you FISHERS of MEN" and was talking about fishing and how the disciples didn't catch anything. God knows!
