Thanksgiving Banquet

Every year at our church we host a Thanksgiving Banquet that feeds between 700-800 people in one day! It is a major event and takes ALOT of work. It is so rewarding though to not only feed someone a HOT meal...we get to share the Gospel of Jesus with others. To make the banquet FUN we come up with a "theme" to celebrate in "style!" Examples: Pilgrims and Indians. Cowboy's and Indians. 1800's....this year the theme was "Turn of the Century" 1900-1920.

I try to dress our family up somehow.....usually last minute....every year as the kids get older they are enjoying the dressing up part more! We went as "Mafia in Training"....Mike gave a little speech that basically said "We have an offer you CANT REFUSE. Meaning the Lord Jesus Christ.
Enjoy the pics to follow.....

Entry way...I was able to help make/invent decorations..GREAT FUN!

I made a FUN timeline to look at as you walked into the foyer area. I made the years as seperate "books" on a shelf...

I LOVE what Hannah and Tanya did for the tables. Burlap runners are AMAZING!

We put on 2 banquets. Each serving 375-400. So, after the 1st banquet is over the cleanup/setup crew comes in and re-do's the tables and decor. They have 30mins before the next banquet starts.
