Tonight I finally get to sit and enjoy a nice cup of Sleepytime Tea w/ a touch of honey and milk. It has been a long couple of days around the home here....2 out of 3 children have been sick...Josiah has strep throat and Zech has a tummy bug that was giving him high fevers! It definetly is heart wrenching to watch them be in pain. Of course Daddy and Mommy have been up thru the nights trading shifts walking and comforting the boys. The worst part of the story though is that my sister Beverly has been staying with us this week and her boys are sick too! Moses has strep....and the other 2 have runny noses and terrible coughs! Yikes!
........Tonight as I write I am flying solo with parenting...Daddy is away in Rush, NY at a Men's Retreat! I am happy that he can rest and enjoy some fellowship and be challenged with some preaching. We miss him and will be happy to see him tomorrow night.
Now all the children have been put to bed and my sister and I are enjoying a little "Peace"-----I made her a nice cup of Hot chocolate cocoa with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top!
"If a man therefore purge himself from these,he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use,and prepared unto every good work." II Timothy 2:21

"Beautiful Feet"
The Bible says in Romans 10:15....."And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"
Tonight I suprised my hard working wonderful husband with a pedicure when he arrived home! I got out my foot tub with heat and massage...soaked and cleaned those "beautiful feet" of his! He has very ticklish feet so I enjoy the part of making him squeal when I rub in the lotion! He he! Anyways....my sisters were over so I was able to treat them to a pedicure too! Then Elijah hopped right inside the tub...water went everywhere....it was a fun time!

Resurrection Sunday Photo's 2011
Today was and is always an amazing day....to me it means newness and LIFE! Christ arose and was victorious over death!! Today we had a great day in the Lords house and then a wonderful dinner with family!
All 9 cousins were together.....dressed up and full of energy! Lotsa work went in to everything----it was certainly worth it though. We enjoyed a yummy Turkey dinner with the fixings. I made from scratch a swirl chocolate cheesecake for dessert.
Enjoy our photo's!

Our Church Flowers...
I am blessed to be able to make...create...and help decorate our church sanctuary. It is very rewarding to imagine a theme and or floral arrangements and then to design them! Mrs. Joanne Rood is the head of the ministry. Myself, my sister Jennifer and friend Tanya get together and we spend hours decorating for Christmas...New Years...special Conferences...Flag Day....you name it...we put together themes and arrangements to fit the mood of the event. I thought I would post from time to time what we've done...I really love being able to be apart of this ministry.
I just did the lilac arrangements last week....they came out very nice! My Pastor likes taller and larger bouquets....so I try and accomodate his preference. These particular arrangements will be displayed on white ceramic pillars and put on either side of platform. The larger (middle bouquet) will go directly in front of the pulpit. The Lords house is worth putting the work into...it makes it cozy and pleasant to the eye for all to see as they come to worship...Thank you Lord for a place to meet and serve you in!

"Oh Be Careful...."
All day long I have been teaching and singing this song to the boys....they love it! I pray the message it gives sinks into their little hearts!
"Oh be careful little ears what you hear....Oh be careful little ears what you hear...For the Father up above- is looking down in love, so be careful little ears what you hear!"
"Oh be careful little eyes what you see...Oh be careful little eyes what you see..."
"Oh be careful little mouth what you say...."
"Oh be careful little hands what you do...Oh be careful little hands what you do...."
"Oh be careful little feet where you go...Oh be careful little feet where you go...For the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little feet where you go!"

Fireman Josiah
Today as I opened the childlocked cabinet under the kitchen sink....Josiah noticed the fire extinguisher. He said.."Look Mama, a firetruck!"
He was so excited as I pulled it out and explained what it was and what to do with it if there was a fire. Josiah really loves firetrucks and police cars!!! It just so happened that he was dressed in his firetruck shirt AND already playing with his fire engines! I guess it's perfect timing...next week our local Fire Hall is having an open house and we are taking the boys down to see the fire engines and the firemen!! It will be a fun time!

My Nursery Rhyme
Little Zech Ilardo sat on the couch
Eating his Oreo's away,
He's put all his fingers in to enjoy the cream
and seems to grin and say:
"What a beautiful way to end the day!"
